JPCC at AERA16
Publisher Sharon Parkinson and Content Editor Sophie Barr recently attended the annual American Educational Research Association (AERA) conference in Washington DC, where JPCC held its second annual Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) meeting.
The EAB meeting, which was chaired by Editor Andy Hargreaves and assisted by Managing Editor Mary Bridget Burns, was a great chance for board members to celebrate the success of the journal so far, talk about the next issues, and discuss ideas for possible future Special Issues.
The highlight of JPCC's participation at the conference was the drinks reception which was co-hosted with Boston College's Lynch School of Education at The Newseum, Washington DC’s museum dedicated to journalism and history. It made for an apt venue for both groups and was very well attended. It was an opportunity for all to celebrate the launch of JPCC and the partnership with the Lynch School.
