Issue 1 launch at ICSEI16

We were proud sponsors of the 29th International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI) conference which took take place in Glasgow from 6-9 January 2016.

With our Editor-in-Chief Andy Hargreaves as the incoming President of ICSIE, this was a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the launch of the very first issue of JPCC.

As opening speaker, Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland, commented, "to improve education we need to learn from good practice around the world" which is precisely the remit of our journal.

Several of our international Editorial Advisory Board members and Issue 1 authors were at the conference, many of whom were presenting their own research, including Carol Campbell, Alan J Daly and Pamela Sammons.

We were delighted to see Alma Harris receive her Lifetime Membership Award from ICSEI, congratulations Alma!

The Civic Reception, held at the spectacular Glasgow City Chambers, was a fantastic opportunity for our team to raise a glass in celebration of the first issue of JPCC, and another chance for us to spread the word about the journal to the conference delegates.

We gave away over 300 promotional JPCC web keys to delegates throughout the conference, and we had a lot of visitors to our stand in the exhibitor’s hall who wanted to find out more, all of which should result in many more people accessing the website and reading the articles.
